PDF/A Deep Validator for accessibility and archive readiness
PDF/A Deep Validator in Fileza gives a stronger archive-readiness review than a basic metadata check. Upload a PDF and inspect PDF/A identification signals, XMP metadata, output intent, font embedding, encryption, attachments, active content, external links, and incremental-update markers. The report is conservative because real PDF/A conformance requires a dedicated validator and review.
This tool is useful for records teams, legal archives, finance, procurement, government intake, schools, and businesses that need documents to remain readable over time. Fileza looks for pdfaid markers, OutputIntents, Metadata, FontFile streams, JavaScript, OpenAction, embedded-file references, URI links, and other signals that can affect long-term preservation.
The workflow includes severity levels, suggested fixes, a downloadable JSON report, a PDF report export, and a veraPDF-compatible adapter placeholder for future server-side validation. Admin-facing direction is included for compliance profile templates and organization-level logs so archive checks can later be governed by policy. The report can be used before converting the file, requesting a corrected export, or routing the document into a records system. It helps teams separate quick metadata fixes from deeper archive risks that need a validator or source-file correction.
Use the report as a preparation guide. If the file must be submitted as PDF/A, export it from a trusted authoring workflow and validate it with a full PDF/A validator before relying on the result.
